Moving day: just feels like turmoil on top of turmoil
Javelin is moving to larger offices today, adding another 50% space to accommodate a growing team. We’ll send out a formal announcement soon to clients and those that subscribe to our research newsletter (if you don’t receive the newsletter, request it by sending an email to inquiry@javelinstrategy.com ) . I admit that it feels odd to be adding physical capacity in this market, but this has been a growth year for us, and for the last several months a couple of staff have literally had to swap work-from-home days to give everyone space here at HQ. We planned this move starting a year ago, and it’s designed to enable growth for the long term for our unique value proposition of industry-specific, independent, rigorous research and advisory services.
We’ll be at the opposite end of the same large building, but it’s still a matter of trekking everything from one place to another and thus its momentarily chaotic. Hopefully by the time of the debates tonight the turmoil will be history. If you’ve had any delay in getting a reply to an email or phone call today, thanks for your patience as there might be brief interruptions. Turmoil is something we’re all dealing with right now, and we’ll all have to be comfortable and effective at navigating it.
