Director, Commercial and Enterprise Payments

Albert leads Javelin’s Commercial & Enterprise Payments Practice where he provides clients and publications with expert insights on strategy, technology trends and regulatory movements. He has over twenty years of experience in senior leadership roles for companies focused on advancing initiatives for card, ACH, Wire, EFT and instant payments, and he has worked extensively in global markets including North America, EMEA, South America and AsiaPac.

Prior to Javelin, Albert spent a decade with Visa managing the North American Bank Partner Group and serving as the Practice Director for Payments. During this time, he and his team helped to build one of the world’s largest B2B-card-payables businesses in partnership with one of Visa’s key strategic banks. Albert also has extensive experience in the receivables world having worked in various roles at BancTec including being a member of the team that developed BancTec’s first image-processing system for retail lockbox.

Albert has a B.A. in History from Indiana University and a Masters in Conflict Analysis from the Carter School and George Mason University.
